Wired for Sound by Michael W. Smith is a song that has meaning. It is also, in my humble opinion, is such a great, upbeat song. Here are some of the lyrics:

In today's society, there is all this negative news from the media. Technology such as smartphones and computers are distractions at times disconnecting people from talking to each other. People use their smartphones for Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and games talking about politics, sports, and entertainment.

How about we use the news to talk about people doing good for one another more often? How about we use smartphones to post Scripture? How about we take breaks from our smartphones and computers and talk to one another?  How about we talk more about Christ and our faith? How about we read a physical Bible more often?  How about we listen to more uplifting songs and watch more uplifting movies?

LGBTQ: Loving vs. Tolerating

I am sure many people have family members or acquaintances who are gay and/or involved with the LGBTQ community. There are events that have happened all over the country; they are even happening in small towns. The pride flags have been seen by many and are even in schools-even to kids in kindergarten!   However, as Christians, we ought to call out sin and oppose it in our lives and the lives of others. This is completely different than affirming sinful lifestyles and tolerating them. Not only is this tolerated nowadays, but it is also applauded and celebrated.  Paul wrote, "Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth" (1 Corinthians 13:4-6). A Letter to Roman Catholics

Dear Roman Catholics, It is out of love and sincere compassion that I am writing this letter to you. I was in the Roman Catholic Church for 20+ years until about three years ago. Why did I leave? What caused this decision?  It is because of the numerous errors of the teachings of the Catholic Church when compared to the teachings of Scripture. I want to focus on the main one being salvation.
